About

My Approach

My approach to therapy is rooted in evidence-based practices including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and psychoanalytic psychotherapy. Currently, I’m a fellow at the Chicago Center for Psychoanalysis, where I continue to learn through ongoing supervision, consultation, and mentorship. This eclectic blend allows me to tailor therapy to meet your unique needs and goals.

About me

I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor associate (LCMHCA #A18592) in North Carolina. I completed my undergraduate degree at UNC Chapel Hill and earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Western Carolina University. I have worked in a wide array of roles in community mental health, university counseling centers, food banks, nonprofits, schools, and a healthy dose of housekeeping, caregiving, and restaurant work.
As an LGBTQIA-affirming and liberation-oriented therapist, I’m committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive space for all clients. I am engaged in ongoing education and abolitionist practices in my personal and professional life and welcome conversations around this. Friends and colleagues might describe me as warm, curious, and informal—qualities I bring into every session to help you feel comfortable and heard.
